Obituary 

Marilyn Kay Owen Skold, 60, passed away Monday, April 5, 2004, after a long illness. She was born August 20, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Harry and Dorothy Owen.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harry Owen, and a niece, Carrie Christine Owen.
 
She is survived by her husband, Dennis Skold, of Corpus Christi, Texas; her mother, Dorothy Vincent Brown of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Larry Owen of Lincoln, Nebraska, Dennis Owen and Philip Owen, both of Corpus Christi; six nephews, Todd, Gregg, and Mark Owen of Nebraska, Philip Owen Jr, of Corpus Christi, and Nathan and Ryan Owen of Corpus Christi; and many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles. She will be dearly missed by all.
 
Marilyn grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and Lincoln, Nebraska, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1961. After high school, she lived in Grandview, Missouri, Corpus Christi and Wichita Falls, Texas, and Edwards Air Force Base, California. She returned to Corpus Christi in 1977, and married Dennis Skold in 1979. She and Dennis went to Guam with the US Navy in 1981 for three years, then returned to Corpus Christi, where they remained. She was employed as a civilian in the Department of Defense at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi for 21 years.
 
Marilyn’s family will miss her sense of humor and her smile. She was kind and generous, and loved her family.
 
Honoring the wishes of the deceased, a private service will be held for the immediate family. Interment will be at Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The American Lung Association (www.lungusa.org) or a charity of your choice.
